Lahore (Daily News Online) The caretaker government of Punjab has increased the support price of wheat by 1700 rupees per maund. The new price has been fixed at Rs 3900 per maund.

Last year, the food department bought wheat at the rate of 2200 rupees per maund, this year the food department will buy 35 lakh tons of wheat. The price of government wheat to be sold to flour mills at this time will be decided next week.
